Wyle Names New Chief Operating Officer Effective Jan. 1 Company's Three Operating Groups Will Report To Veteran Executive Named to Slot
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyle, a leading provider of systems engineering, technology and scientific services and solutions to the federal government, has announced the promotion of Roger Wiederkehr to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective on Jan. 1, 2013.
Since joining Wyle in 2005, Wiederkehr has held senior executive positions leading the company's mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic planning activities and overseeing the company's contracts and procurement, legal, security and environmental, health and safety functions. From 2008 to 2011, Wiederkehr also had primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Wyle's Test, Engineering, and Research Division.
In his new role, Wiederkehr will oversee the operations of Wyle's three business units, the Aerospace, CAS, and Science, Technology and Engineering Groups, as well as the execution of the company strategy.

Prior to joining Wyle, Wiederkehr was a member of URS' Corporate Strategy Group and a management consultant and project manager with McKinsey & Company. He holds a law degree from the University of Zürich in Switzerland and received a master's degree in business administration from Yale University.
