Xenith, LLC Ships 100,000th Football Helmet: Continued Growth Solidifies Company's Leadership in Providing Advanced Head Protection
LOWELL, Mass., Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Xenith®, LLC announced today it has shipped its 100,000th football helmet since entering the market in 2009. In addition, Xenith reported over an approximate three-fold increase in unit sales from 2010 to 2011.
Xenith developed a unique, patented system called Xenith Adaptive Head Protection®, which features an adaptive snug fit system and adaptive air-cell shock absorbers.
The company's first product, the X1™ Football Helmet, has been worn since its certification in 2007, and has rapidly gained market share at all levels of football participation since being introduced for sale in 2009. In May 2011 the company introduced its second product, the X2™ Football Helmet. The X2 Football Helmet, which features the same protective technology as the X1, with incredible comfort, ease of fitting, and affordable price, allowed for a significant increase in team and league purchases, resulting in greater than 50,000 X2 Football Helmets being sold in the product's first year on the market.
Featured in numerous media reports, the Xenith Football Helmet is the Official Helmet of the Nike ESPN Rise Football Combines and Win Forever Workshops. Xenith is also the Official Safety Partner of the Snoop Youth Football League. In 2011 Xenith launched Xenith Academy, an online safety and educational curriculum designed to educate athletes, parents, coaches and athletic trainers.
The company is currently launching its X1 Batting Helmet for baseball and softball; this product has already been deemed the Official Batting Helmet of Area Code Baseball, the Dominican Prospect League and of the High School Baseball Coaches Associations in six states.
"We are committed to developing the industry's most innovative head protection while delivering much needed education as well. It is a great accomplishment to have shipped our 100,000th helmet in such a short period of time. Xenith's focus will be to further expand its presence in football and baseball while introducing our technology to other markets," said Vin Ferrara, Xenith's Founder and CEO.
