BEIJING, Aug. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- A gallery of Olympic photos taken by Xinhua News Agency photographers will be shown on August 6 on New York City's Times Square, a constantly buzzing magnet for tourists and one of the most visited places in the world.
"China Screen", 60 feet high by 40 feet wide on 2 Times Square, will display the latest collection of the best moments from the Rio Olympics. Xinhua Gallery Co., Ltd., a Chinese advertiser behind the collection, had already shown two videos, "For Rio, For Real" and "Olympic Heroes", on the giant LED screen at the "Crossroads of the World".
The new collection is a series of memorable moments captured by Xinhua reporters in the run-up to the Rio Games, as well as at the August 5 opening ceremony.
From Rio, a 119-strong team of Xinhua reporters will provide up-to-the-minute coverage of the Games across a wide variety of platforms.
Xinhua Gallery Co., Ltd. is also set to continue its ongoing cooperation with Xinhua News Agency. Based on the content provided by Xinhua's on-site team at Rio, the company will make a film collection every day and show it on Times Square, all in a bid to spread the spirit of the Olympics.
Xinhua Gallery Co., Ltd. can also draw on its authoritative and reputable photo library:
