Mobile Event Guide creator Xomo delivers SXSW® GO, a location-aware app detailing 5,000+ Interactive, Music and Film events at South by Southwest®, which starts Friday in Austin, Texas
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Xomo has become the first provider to deliver a feature-rich native Mobile Event Guide app for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7 smartphone devices, with another version specifically for iPad users. The company also introduces a unique "time-slider" feature to help users navigate such a large number of events by allowing them to easily hone in on the times they are most interested in.
Built using Xomo's proven Mobile Event Guide product, the free SXSW® GO mobile app will let users share their favorite events via Twitter or Facebook, vote on interactive sessions, listen to music from artists performing at SXSW and watch trailers for many of the featured independent films -- all from their smartphone.
The schedule will update regularly, and will even work offline. Users can create a personalized schedule on their mobile or sync it from the SXSW website. The app also includes maps to every venue, trade show information and news from the SXSW team.
