Yamie Chess Wins 2013 Honolulu Film Awards Aloha Accolade Award in Animation and Best Animation at the Los Angeles Film & Script Festival
LAS VEGAS, April 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Yamie Chess Ltd, a new educational learning company for K-8 math learning, that is launching at next year's 2014 American International Toy Fair in New York, and this March won the Canada International Film Festival's The Royal Reel Award in Animation, on top of winning prestigious official selections to the Arizona International Film Festival, and Johns Hopkins University's Film Festival, has won the prestigious 2013 Honolulu International Film Festival's Aloha Accolade Award in Animation for Yamie Chess's award-winning animated film, King Tigermore In Strawberry Fields, that tells the magical family fairy-tale story of an eight-year-old American boy genius who plays chess in his dreams.
The Honolulu Film Awards judges' statement read: "You should be very proud of this distinction as King Tigermore In Strawberry Fields is one of only a small handful of select projects awarded this exclusive honor. Only a maximum of 10 projects per competition category can be selected to receive this distinguished level of recognition."
In April, Yamie Chess was accepted into the Kids First! Film Festival, the largest children's film festival in the world, sponsored by the Coalition for Quality Children's Media, and won the film industry prize of Best Animation at the Los Angeles Film and Script Festival in Santa Monica.
Synchronized to a Mozart symphony, King Tigermore In Strawberry Fields, is the animated sequel to the forthcoming K-8 math comic in the Yamie Chess School Assistant trilogy, The Adventures of Tigermore and the Mind Angels, which supports the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics 'Curriculum Focal Points' in algebra, geometry, data analysis, number skills and measurement, and enables elementary and middle school-age children to explore the mathematical basis of classic chess.
In addition to Johns Hopkins University, Yamie Chess's animation has also won selections to the SOHO International Film Festival in New York and the Beverly Hills Film Festival sponsored by Coca-Cola.
The Yamie Chess math learning aid inherits all of the proven scholastic benefits of classic chess, that U.S. academic research studies have shown credibly support children's intellectual and cognitive development.
In a magic chess universe, where all the characters correspond and have direct mathematical representations to the classic chessmen, Yamie Chess supports children, of all academic abilities, to excel in math and science in school.
Made in America, Yamie Chess will be launching simultaneously at New York Toy Fair on 16th February 2014 and the NSSEA Ed Expo in Dallas, Texas in March 2014.
