Yard Works Acquires Waltrip Recycling in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Yard Works announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Waltrip Recycling, Inc.'s assets. This marks the Richmond-based landscape product company's expansion into the Greater Williamsburg Area, with its sixth retail location. Yard Works will begin servicing former Waltrip residential and commercial clients immediately, by bringing its premium brands of mulch and other land improvement products & services to the market. Yard Works is Central Virginia's leading manufacturer of premier landscape products, providing recycling and land clearing services. "Larry Waltrip was a pioneer in the landscaping products and recycling industry and has been semi-retired but now is looking forward to full retirement and spending more time fishing. Although this is the company's first retail operation in the Williamsburg area, Yard Works opened up a mulching and recycling facility in nearby West Point in 2013. The company currently serves the cities of Richmond and Charlottesville, and has retail operations in Powhatan, Goochland, Chesterfield, Henrico and Hanover counties. To bolster operations at the Williamsburg retail location, Yard Works will be adding new staff, services and products.
