NEW YORK, Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Young America Capital (YAC) is pleased to announce that it has successfully assisted Pleuratech in entering an exclusive worldwide license agreement with Merit Medical for Pleuratech's main product, a novel surgical device ensuring safe and accurate placement of drains in the pleural cavity.

Headquartered in Århus, Denmark, Pleuratech and its two founders, Niels Katballe and Peter Heydorn have developed the KatGuide, an innovate surgical device. The uniquely shaped, patented and clinically tested KatGuide can guide the chest tube to the part of the pleural cavity that needs drainage. With more successful surgeries and fewer misplaced drains as a result.
