LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- zMotion – a Zimmerman Advertising team – is proud to announce that team captain Grant Potter has taken first in his age category in this year's UCI World Masters Road Championships stage race in Austria. Potter finished with a total of 65 points, far ahead of his nearest competitor with only 59 points.

The World Masters Road Championships attracts 3,500 rides from 53 nations. Riders compete in a total of 50 competitions. The race, which is held in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria, is one of the oldest continuously run Masters races in the world.

This is Potter's first year riding for Team zMotion. Among his long list of cycling accomplishments, Potter has won numerous Masters trophies in the last several years. He has continued to hold his winning position in 2010 by finishing in the top ten at the USA Cycling 2010 Masters Road Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky earlier this month. He also won best overall rider at the Gwinnett Bike Fest in Georgia last month. Potter lives in Parkland, Florida, with his wife Christine and their three children.  

Year-to-date, zMotion has raised nearly $2 million for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kids in Distress (KID), Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and other worthwhile causes.  zMotion's next big charity ride is the Second Annual Bike BBQ Beer Beach Bash on October 24, 2010.
