SAN DIEGO, June 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. is expanding its outreach to pool products dealers and swimming pool and spa builders through a series of perception surveys, inquiring on multiple topic areas. Survey links were emailed to more than 13,000 active dealers in May. The surveys are randomized to assess three of the Zodiac® brands, including Polaris®, Jandy® Pro Series and Zodiac pool products. Now the company is announcing the survey broadly to gather additional feedback from pool pros who may not be as active in their interaction with the company.
Following on the heels of its extensive consumer research conducted throughout 2010 and 2011, Zodiac has expanded its research to gather quantitative information from its primary audience, the pool professionals. Several questions are open-ended, allowing the dealers and service technicians to input whatever comments they would like to make to improve products or services. Questions in the surveys cover multiple topics, including:
- Product innovation, performance, range of offerings and availability
- Value for price
- Warranty coverage
- Technical support
- Customer service, sales support and training
- Marketing and merchandising effectiveness and support
According to Troy Franzen, managing director-Americas, Zodiac executives are sincerely interested in what customers and non-customers perceive about the company and its products. After its last pool pro feedback was analyzed, the company revamped its customer service department to provide regionalized support and faster response times. When the consumer research proved pool owners needed greater knowledge of how a pool can be more eco-friendly, lower cost and easier to maintain, the company launched its largest ever marketing program, including social media, public relations, articles and advertising to provide the expertise consumers want. It also extended consumer rebates on several products, including Polaris and Zodiac pool cleaners, and Nature2® alternative sanitizers throughout the whole summer, extending its normal rebate season by more than a month.
