MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ZONARE Medical Systems, Inc., a developer of innovative high-end ultrasound solutions, announced the recent promotion of Timothy A. Marcotte to President and Chief Executive Officer.

Since August 2011, Marcotte has served as Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of ZONARE.  He began in 2007 as the company's Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to ZONARE, he was with VNUS Medical Technologies and other medical device and information technology companies as a C-level executive for more than 17 years.  Marcotte earned his BS and MBA from the University of Michigan.
