With the help of NASCAR driver Joey Logano and his No. 22 car sponsor Shell Oil Company, the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation launched its Military Transition Support (MTS) program Friday, November 8, by surprising a disabled military veteran, Starrbuck Long, and his family with $5,000 and a $500 Shell V-Power gift card at Phoenix International Raceway. MTS will ensure that U.S. military veterans and their families have the resources available to achieve their career ambition of receiving a technical education by providing grants to cover day-to-day expenses related to school to ease their transition back into civilian life.
