NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO), a mall-based specialty retailer of casual apparel for young women and men, today announced its partnership with popular Vine stars Nash Grier, Hayes Grier, Cameron Dallas and Carter Reynolds to launch the UNITED XXVI Collection.
On October 26, 2014, the first UNITED XXVI Collection launched exclusively in Aeropostale stores and online. The edgy and contemporary collection is designed to illustrate the most important "Fashion Now" statements of each of the young men's lifestyles.
Ranging from $13-$20, the UNITED XXVI Collection will consist of signature styles for both young men and women, each piece designed intricately with original artwork combined with textured fabrics, new silhouettes and cool, updated washes hand-picked from Nash, Hayes, Cameron and Carter.
"Designing a collection with Aeropostale was completely surreal," says Nash Grier, who has been dubbed the "King of Vine" with over 9.2 million followers on the site. "Having the freedom to infuse our personal styles into our very own clothing collection was not only an entirely new experience for us, but a great way to connect with a brand we have all been huge fans of for quite some time."
"We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Nash, Hayes, Cameron and Carter on their first-ever design collection," says Emilia Fabricant, Executive Vice President of Aeropostale. "Each of the guys brings such a different perspective to the table, yet as a whole, their ability to connect with the Aeropostale customer is a phenomenon in itself."
"There are obvious synergies between the boys' creative zest for life and the imaginative energy that Aeropostale is putting into their new designs," says Steven Spiegel, CEO of 26 Management Team. "It was inspiring to see the boys work with the Aeropostale designers to create the UNITED XXVI Collection, and to see how excited they are about the finished products. We are delighted to watch this partnership grow."
Aeropostale's collaboration with the four Vine stars was incubated internally, as the Company leveraged its vast social media network. Nash Grier, Hayes Grier, Cameron Dallas and Carter Reynolds boast more than 20 million followers, collectively.
