Back by Popular Demand: Precertification Courses Return to Annual iaedp Symposium
Early Registration Continues Through January 15, 2015
PEKIN, Ill., Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™) announces the return of precertification courses for professionals at its annual symposium on March 19-23, 2015 at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix. For experienced eating disorders professionals who qualify, these programs are a pathway to the certification process. Additionally, the programs also offer professionals new to the field or who do not specialize in eating disorders an opportunity for training that offers a comprehensive overview of the diseases and current treatment approaches.
Prior to the start of the Symposium, each three-hour class is presented by respected eating disorder professionals who serve on iaedp's Advisory Board. "The precertification courses are very popular, so we continue to offer them, providing professionals first-hand instruction in eating disorders treatment," said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director at The iaedp Foundation. "A professional's time is valuable, which is why we developed a two-day live format for presenting the classes at our annual symposium."
All other prerequisites for certification regarding education, experience, supervision and successful completion of a written examination apply. The precertification course is offered as a separate track for $200 or combined with a 2015 Symposium registration for an additional $100. Prior to January 15, 2015, registration for iaedp certified members is $550, for members, $600 and for non iaedp members, $675. After January 15, all costs increase by $50.
