Colorado Pork Producers Council to Host Celebratory Dinner for Step 13 Residents in Denver
CPPC Taps Executive Chef Jason Morse to oversee feast preparation
DENVER, Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Colorado Pork Producers Council (CPPC) is hosting a Celebratory Dinner for Step 13 residents on Thursday, December 18 at 7 p.m. Step 13 is located at 2029 Larimer Street, Denver, 80205.
"The dinner is a celebration of the successes realized by Step 13 residents who, through hard work and solid choices, have turned their lives around," said CPPC Executive Director Lauren Dever.
"Our board is tremendously supportive of the mission of Step 13. The organization does an incredible job helping men overcome addiction and become productive citizens through a program requiring sobriety, work, and accountability," said Dever.
"Our partnership with the Colorado Pork Producers Council allows us to bring in top chefs to teach our men how to prepare fresh healthy meals, rather than heating up pre-prepared microwave dinners," explained Peter Droege, Executive Director of Step 13. "Nothing is better on the barbeque than grilled pork and our men especially love classes on how to sharpen their skills on the grill."
CPPC has tapped the culinary talents of Executive Chef Jason K. Morse, CEC, owner and founder of 5280 Culinary, to prepare a dinner featuring … grilled pork chops, of course.
