Crescent City Vape Opens New E-Cigarette Shop in Lower Garden District
New Orleans e-cigarette merchant Crescent City Vape will open its second location at 1224 St. Charles Ave. on Tuesday, December 23, committed to helping hundreds more New Orleanians stop smoking tobacco cigarettes.
NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, December 23, Crescent City Vape will open a new e-cigarette shop in the Lower Garden District at 1224 St. Charles Ave., Suite B, at the corner of Erato St.
Located on the St. Charles streetcar line and just three blocks from I-10, the new shop will be a convenient stop for smokers and vaping enthusiasts across the Greater New Orleans area.
The New Orleans Health Department estimated that 19.6 percent of adults in Orleans Parish smoke. "Our goal is to help as many New Orleanians as possible quit smoking cigarettes as soon as possible," co-owner and general manager Sean Partridge said.
Crescent City Vape opened its first shop at 4507 Magazine St. in April 2014. Today, the shop offers the largest selection of e-cigarette hardware in New Orleans and a diverse selection of e-cigarette liquid or "e-juice."
Customers are encouraged to try out the latest flavors at the shop's free tasting bar. "We have over 100 flavors from the best e-juice brands across the country," Partridge said. "We're finding that the right flavor is a crucial factor in helping a customer kick tobacco. You want a flavor that's going to prevent you from smoking that next cigarette."
All e-juice offered at Crescent City Vape is made in the USA using food-grade ingredients. The store also services any e-cigarette model, no matter where it was purchased.
Customer service and education are cornerstones of their business. The staff at Crescent City Vape spends time with each new customer, discussing their current smoking habit, the diverse range of product options available, and creating a plan for quitting tobacco. "We spend about 30 minutes with customers who are new to vaping, getting them set up with their new equipment, and showing them how to properly and safely use and maintain their device," Partridge said.
E-cigarettes are a relatively new technology, but are proving to be very effective at helping smokers quit tobacco. A study conducted by researchers at University College London found that smokers who used e-cigarettes to quit were 60% more likely to succeed than smokers using willpower or over-the-counter nicotine replacement therapies like gum, patches or inhalers.
E-cigarettes helped Partridge quit his two-pack-a-day habit. "I don't wake up coughing in the middle of the night. I feel so much better since I ditched the smoke for vapor," Partridge said. "I'm so proud that Crescent City Vape has helped hundreds of smokers begin their journey to become smoke-free."
Crescent City Vape's new shop will open just in time for the holidays. "E-cigarettes are the perfect gift for any smoker in your life to help them quit," Partridge said. Both shops will be open until 5pm on Christmas Eve, and gift certificates are available for holiday shoppers.
