Elisabeth DeMarse Joins AppNexus Board of Directors
Chairman and CEO of TheStreet Brings Extensive Leadership Experience in Information and Media Industries to Largest Independent Ad Tech Company
NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AppNexus, the world's largest independent ad tech company, today announced the appointment of Elisabeth DeMarse, Chairman and CEO, TheStreet, Inc., to its Board of Directors. A veteran of the information and media industries, DeMarse is known for her leadership experience spanning both traditional and digital media companies, and brings a rich background in corporate governance to her new role.
Prior to joining TheStreet, a leading digital financial media company, DeMarse successfully led a variety of U.S. and international financial information and technology businesses, often guiding them through important phases of company growth and expansion. She has held leadership roles at Bloomberg L.P., where she was CMO for 10 years and launched Bloomberg.com; Hoover's, Inc., where she was Executive Vice President of International Operations; and Citibank, where she worked in the Information Business. Most recently, DeMarse was CEO of Newser, an online news curation site, after serving as CEO of CreditCards.com and Bankrate, Inc.
