Fabrizio Talent Agency and their clients have filed Lawsuit against Twitter Inc.
NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fabrizio ® Talent Agency has filed suit against the social media company Twitter Inc, in New York City, with docket No. CV-015054-14/NY.
The Company states that the program for verification of accounts has been taken out of the hands of Twitter Inc, and is becoming a kind of showcase for improper activities and scams.
There are unscrupulous users who, taking advantage of the fact that there is little or no control in effect, are swindling users interested in becoming verified accounts, which affects not only the artists represented by the talent agency but also hundreds of users of the social platform.
The talent agency states in its legal complaint that Twitter Inc does little or nothing to prevent these cases from being repeated, by denying the reports or not providing any kind of response to requests for support, refusing to become involved or to suspend the accounts that have violated the use policies of the social media platform.
Fabrizio Moreira, owner of the talent agency, also states that all it takes is a short search on the platform itself to find users making complaints that Twitter Inc never responds, and here are several examples:

Fabrizio goes on to state that the list could go on and be much longer, and that Twitter Inc does not implement or take corrective measures to stop this kind of situation, which is reported through tickets.
"For reporting to a user on Twitter that through one scam, US$3,000 was taken from my business, I was penalized by the removal of my verification, just for alerting users who follow me and know me to be careful with this scam artist, but the people who are swindling users just keep on using the platform with complete freedom and without any penalty at all," says Fabrizio Moreira.
In the case of our artists, we have Fraag Malas, a young Spaniard, 20 years old, who has achieved world-wide fame, and who has now gotten more than 10 million views, and, although he is a renowned artist, his request for verification has been denied several times.
Another clear example is what happened to political activist Carlos Andrés Vera who was suspended for no apparent reason. Andres has not written any complaints, and has confined himself to seeing the reactions on the networks. The person who has made his voice heard is his father, Carlos Vera Rodríguez, who, as soon as he found out about the suspension, issued a number of tweets in which he made known relationships with Twitter of two companies close to the government of Ecuador.
He said that the company IMS (@imscorp) in addition to being the representative of Twitter in Latin America, is also the digital agency that works for the government. He added that the licensee of Twitter in Ecuador is the company Xhima, an agency that managed the campaign All you need is Ecuador "Are they a guarantee of freedom@imscorp?" he wondered, which was echoed by the largest medium of written communication, and it has documented this event in the following article: http://www.eluniverso.com/noticias/2014/07/24/nota/3275501/cuatro-cuentas-criticas-gobierno-ecuador-fueron-suspendidas-twitter.
These attitudes of Twitter Inc have left no room for negotiation, and because of this a coalition of celebrities, public figures and politicians has been established to give weight to the lawsuit already pending against Twitter Inc, and it should be pointed out that the only purpose of this lawsuit is to seek to be heard and demand a painstaking review of the cases already reported, and the decisions taken against the management of the talent agency and its artists and clients.
