SAN FRANCISCO, April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- FarFaria, a top ranking children's storybook app, is celebrating its first birthday by announcing record-setting reading engagement and exciting new directions. Since the launch in April of 2012 over two million stories have been opened in FarFaria with subscribers reading more than five times the national average each week. Additionally, 25% of subscribing families are making FarFaria part of their day-to-day, reading in the app for their nightly bedtime routines. In the short span of a year FarFaria has truly proven that it's approach helps kids develop a passion for reading and encourages families to read together.
To build on these successes FarFaria will be expanding its interactive story browser. Based on the popularity of existing sing along books "Five Little Monkeys" and "The Green Grass Grew All Around," FarFaria announces the release of a new land: "Sing Along City." Sing Along City will be launching with a dozen sing along eBooks with four more to be added by April 25th. Additionally, on April 26th, FarFaria will release the highly anticipated sequel to its most popular title, "Ashipattle and the Giant Sea Monster."
"Knowing that children are falling in love with reading continues to motivate the dynamic team we have here at FarFaria," says Ajay Godhwani, CEO and Co-Founder of Intuary. "We're looking at 2013 to be an even bigger year, adding features and expanding to new platforms, while still publishing quality literature for children."
Developments for 2013 in the works include free single-story apps, a great way for families on the go to keep their children reading. The FarFaria team is also creating new features that will further help families make reading part of their daily routine.
FarFaria is an easy-to-use children's storybook app that encourages kids to fall in love with reading. FarFaria's ever-expanding library offers nearly 400 high-quality stories for kids ages 2-9 for a low monthly price. FarFaria's stories not only keep children entertained but help instill positive values. Dubbed the "Brain Expander" by Parenting Magazine and hailed as "the Netflix of storybook apps" by USA Today, FarFaria is the Judge's Pick from VentureBeat's WinSXSW competition, and is a Family Choice Award Winner.
