First Sixteen Snowboarders And Skiers Confirmed For U.S. Debut Of Air + Style
Air + Style: Beijing Concludes as Pros Look Ahead to Innsbruck
PASADENA, Calif., Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Air + Style: Los Angeles will arrive in the U.S. for the first time at Pasadena's Rose Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 for two days of world-class snowboarding and skiing competition. Prior to the event in California, Beijing and Innsbruck host the event for the 22nd time in the event's history. Air + Style, with the Los Angeles edition staged by Shaun White Enterprises and hosted by White, originated 21-years-ago in Innsbruck and a second event in the series was added in Beijing six years ago. The event in Beijing just successfully concluded over the weekend, and the event in Innsbruck will be held January 16-17 leading into the final event of the season at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Thirty-two elite snowboarders and skiers will compete in Pasadena including 2014 Snowboard Slopestyle Olympic gold medalist, Sage Kotsenburg, and four-time Winter X Games gold medalist, Bobby Brown.
"Air + Style: Los Angeles is going to be monumental," said Kotsenburg. "From having a historic event in Innsbruck and now to starting one for the first time in the U.S., it will be so cool. I can't wait to see the venue at the Rose Bowl with a giant snowboard jump by it."
In addition to Shaun White bringing the first Air + Style event to the United States, skiing is also added to the event in Pasadena bringing world-class skiers to compete.

A total of 16 snowboarders and sixteen skiers representing the best in the world will compete. Eight snowboarders will qualify from the events in Innsbruck and Beijing, eight skiers will be invited by a selection committee and the 16 athletes who have been invited include the following:

For Air + Style: Los Angeles, food, art and music is featured over the two days. A host of celebrity chefs are participating along with top food trucks and vendors. Art exhibits will be on display through a public graffiti wall, giant digital displays, nightly light shows and art galleries throughout the venue. Announced last month, the following musical artists are among the confirmed to perform at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena over the two days: Kendrick Lamar, Steve Aoki, Diplo, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Phantogram, Portugal. The Man, Sleigh Bells, The Black Lips, Cults, Surfer Blood, METZ and Bad Things.

Two-day tickets that gain fans access to both Saturday and Sunday events are priced at $189 for access to floor seating for nightly concerts and $139 for general admission.
