Justin Time: James Bond, Indiana Jones Welcome a New Hero to Their Club
DENVER, Dec. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Meet Justin Naby, also known as Justin Time.
Different from the animated series on PBS, Justin Time first debuted in 2011 and has since gained a cult following among faith-based readers who enjoy Bible-inspired historical fiction. Justin Time was originally created to be a pro-life action hero, a Christian answer to Bond and Jones.
Now he's a time traveling government agent with a talking Bible, who records history on video. He's also a family man with teenage kids.
As most Bible buffs know, the official textbook for Christianity is told from the third-person point of view. Justin Time tells the same stories, but from the first-person point of view, recording history on video to make sure doubters get it. Justin is part of a team that is enabled by the Holy Spirit to travel through time, battling terrorism and human trafficking so effectively that Satan puts bounties on them.
The story opens at the resurrection of Jesus, revealing Justin mingling with the people witnessing it. It quickly turns supernatural as Jesus dies, and the reader tags along with the glorified spirit of Jesus and Justin as he leaps onto an Angel's wing, where the reader joins Justin in witnessing first-hand the battle of Calvary in the spiritual realm, witnessing Angels and demons fight it out.
The humor of "Back To The Future" and the gravity of the "Passion of The Christ" are in full force as readers watch heaven and hell collide in 2051. A strong message about "life being more commercially valuable than death," lingers as a subplot.
The novel is in development as a movie with CSI Miami and NCIS New Orleans cinematographer Michael Watson doing the screenplay breakdown.
