Marinela® USA Introduces Every Body Beats Promotion Teaches Youth to Make Music Using Their Bodies and Everyday Items

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Marinela USA is encouraging youth to participate in creative arts programs as a healthy form of self-expression and building self-esteem by introducing its Every Body Beats promotion. On July 15th, Marinela began giving away free DVDs that introduce youth to a variety of ways to make music. The DVDs demonstrate that you don't necessarily need instruments to make music, but you can make music with your body and everyday items that can be found at home. One of three DVDs can be found in specially marked boxes of Gansito, Gansito Chocolate, Submarinos and Pinguinos.Marinela is also giving away a special glow-in-the-dark cube in the marked boxes of Napolitano. The cube instructs players to perform different sounds by using their body.

"For the past several years, our promotions have focused on music and staying active. Every Body Beats takes creating music to a higher level," said Marinela USA Brand Manager Melisenda Barajas. "This promotion shows youth that you can make music anywhere and by using almost anything. Our consumers and retailers love promotions that get youth involved and have an education and health element included. We know demand will be high, so this year we will give away 1.5 million DVDs."

Every Body Beats is an extension of the Marinela Talent School (MTS) program that launched in 2012. Marinela is taking MTS and Every Body Beats directly to consumers in the Los Angeles market. In addition to live demonstrations at various retail locations by Every Body Beats dance crews, Marinela is also partnering with local community organizations such as YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs to host Every Body Beats workshops.

"During the workshops, the groups will not only learn to create sounds and rhythms with their bodies, but will learn to make instruments using different materials found everywhere. They'll also have a chance to play with an oversized glow-in-the-dark cube."
