Missing Child Found Thanks To National Partnership Program
Local GoDish.com Ad Campaign Includes "Have You Seen Me?®" Ads To Bring Added Value And Gratification To Advertising Spend
HOUSTON, Dec. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For nearly 30 years, consumers have found in their mailbox a weekly RedPlum® direct mail flyer offering special deals on products and services. On one page of those flyers, advertisers have the benefit of contributing to the Have You Seen Me?® Program. This is a partnership between Valassis, who distributes the RedPlum mailers, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the U.S. Postal Service and law enforcement.
On the back cover of a recent mailer, www.godish.com, an authorized retail partner of Dish Network, in the Miami, Florida area, ran a special promotion. Along with the ad was a "Have You Seen Me?" ad where one victim, who has been missing since September 10, 2013, was featured – and found. "We are passionate about bringing missing children home and excited to see that the program makes a difference in the lives of these children and their families," states Rob Mason, President and CEO of Valassis. "Advertisers like GoDish.com specifically contribute to featuring this program at the expense of their ad space."
One of the main messages and goals of Have You Seen Me? is that no child be forgotten. "We believe in the effectiveness of advertising in RedPlum direct mail. But the invaluable benefit of this platform lies in the recovery of missing children," says Damon Diamantaras, CEO of www.godish.com. "We are thrilled to be a part of this valuable and important program."
To date, there have been 156 recoveries as a direct result of this program. For more information on Have You Seen Me? and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, please visit http://www.missingkids.com/home.
