MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileIron (NASDAQ: MOBL) Security Evangelist Mike Raggo will present to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Council's Mobile Task Force on December 11 about best practices for securing mobile point-of-sale (POS) to mitigate the threats facing retailers.

Retailers are required to move to the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) 3.0 by January 1, 2015. Those who use mobile POS are continuing to fortify their mobile deployments by leveraging the PCI Mobile Payment Acceptance Security Guidelines version 1.1, released in July 2014. Mike's presentation will cover best practices for retailers to implement a comprehensive, defense-in-depth strategy for protecting mobile POS from malware, compromises, and network attacks.
