New Terminals for Tomorrow's Workforce Management Professional

ELLINGTON, Conn., Oct. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Accu-Time Systems launched its new line of workforce management and time & attendance terminals at the HR Tech conference in Chicago. On Monday, October 8^th, the company unveiled its Universal Series, a lineup of powerful terminals with large color touch displays, fast processors, rugged keypads, and a myriad of card and biometric reader options. These new terminals are a giant leap forward from the company's current products and promise great flexibility, a variety of operating systems, and highly expandable memory.

Workforce management software developers will be able to deploy The Universal Series in comprehensive employee self-service applications, as well as standard time & attendance. The large displays will make viewing employee schedules, training or message videos, employee benefit interfaces, and other information easy and efficient. The Universal Series consists of three new terminals: FLEXpoint, PEOPLEpoint, and SMARTpoint.  With 10" or 7" widescreen touch displays and a range of processors and memory the series will operate in SaaS or on-premise environments and offers WiFi, Ethernet, or cellular connectivity. Multispectral, capacitive, or e-Field biometric finger readers are available as are a variety of magnetic, RFID, proximity, mag stripe, and barcode card readers. The terminals include Braille lighted keypads, area LED lighting, speakers, a microphone, and a video camera. In case of a power interruption long-life back up batteries will protect your punch and transaction data. The Universal Series can accommodate today's modern application languages like Java, Python, and Android running on Windows Embedded, Linux, or Android operating systems.
