New York Women in Communications Announces 2015 Matrix Award Honorees
Distinguished Honorees Include… Julianna Margulies, Debra L. Lee, Roberta Myers, Andrea Mitchell, among many others
NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Women in Communications will present the 2015 Matrix Awards on Monday, April 27, 2015 to honor seven remarkable women who have established themselves in the communications industry. The awards will be given in a luncheon ceremony sponsored by Meredith Corporation and Chobani at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The distinguished honorees will include Julianna Margulies, Debra L. Lee, Roberta Myers, Andrea Mitchell, among others.
The Matrix Awards is recognized by the communications and entertainment industries as one of the most outstanding and prestigious events of the year, with more than one thousand people expected to gather to honor exceptional women in communications fields. Previous award recipients include Queen Latifah, Dyllan McGee, Barbara Walters, Meryl Streep, Joanna Coles, Tina Fey, Anna Wintour, Cindi Berger, and Martha Stewart to name a few.
Portions of the proceeds from the Matrix Awards luncheon will benefit the organization's Foundation which is dedicated to cultivating female leaders in the communications field. The Foundation offers financial support through generous scholarships and provides opportunities for professional development and mentoring, as well as an entree to a diverse community of communications professionals.
The theme of the 45th annual Matrix Awards is "Women Who Change the World" through their outstanding achievements and talents in the communications fields.
