PSTA Board of Directors Selects Maggie Goodrich as Chair

FREMONT, Calif., Aug. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Public Safety Technology Alliance (PSTA) Board of Directors recently selected Maggie Goodrich as Chair of the Board.

Ms. Goodrich is the former CIO for Public Safety for the City of Los Angeles, California, and worked with both the Los Angeles fire and police departments during her tenure.

Previously, Ms. Goodrich served in the Office of the Mayor as a Policy Director for Homeland Security and Public Safety, and held legal and technology positions in the public and private sector. Ms. Goodrich is an attorney with expertise in public safety grant funding, local government procurement, and IT contract negotiations.

Ms. Goodrich also served as a technology advisor for a review of the University of Cincinnati Police Department, as a consultant to the Chief of the Seattle Police Department, and as a Body Worn Video Subject Matter Expert for the Bureau of Justice Assistance.  She currently serves as a consultant to the University of Chicago Crime Lab and on the Baltimore, Cleveland and Newark police department federal monitorships.

Ms. Goodrich leads the nine member PSTA Board of Directors, comprised of both public safety and industry members, which will be overseeing the activities of the multiple technical subcommittees working to select and recommend relevant open standards and APIs for each respective topic area to ensure true operability among public safety broadband applications and technologies.
