For consistency reasons, LSPs considered for this study are defined as follows:
LSPs are specialist companies that provide organized and efficient supply chain services in full or in part on an outsourcing basis through contracts. Companies that provide services such as courier and express parcel, mostly on a one-time basis, are not considered to be such providers. Companies that provide services such as pure transportation of goods (by any mode) are not included in this pool of logistics service providers.
Express Cargo LSPs
For consistency reasons, express cargo LSPs considered for this study are defined as follows:
Express cargo LSPs are specialist companies that provide organized and efficient supply chain services on an express mode or time-definite delivery mode in full or in part on an outsourcing basis through contracts. Companies that provide express document services such as courier and express parcel, mostly on a one-time basis, are not considered to be such providers.
Cold Chain LSPs
For consistency reasons, cold chain LSPs considered for this study are defined as follows:
Cold chain LSPs are specialist companies that provide organized and efficient supply chain services in a temperature-controlled format in full or in part on an outsourcing basis through contracts. Companies that provide such services on an ad-hoc basis are not included in this pool of LSPs.

Frost & Sullivan regularly conducts voice of the customer research to identify key issues that end users face about their product/service providers. The aim of this study is to research, analyze, and identify logistics outsourcing trends and preferences regarding LSPs in key industries (leading logistics end users) in India.
